Ephemera

The tide is an abstract artist, working in the medium of sand.

Sometimes the tide and the wind collaborate.

Even more transitory than Andy Goldsworthy's work, these sand sculptures will be gone by evening.

I'll be back tomorrow to wander through this gallery of fleeting art.

Are these early AM or late PM photos? How do you get your shadows?
Looks like the camera is one of your creative media now. Have fun with it. I am enjoying the product. Linda

I'll be there witnessing these wonders with you in just a few short days!!!!

Carol arranged for Scott and I to connect. She said it was okay with you to bring him to dinner and possibly spend the night?

I'm getting so excited!
Love yoU!

Linda, some were afternoon shots and some were morning. The first consideration is to avoid casting my own shadow on the subject. That leaves three approaches, so I just walk around the subject to find the best angle without stepping on the art. These creations don't happen every day; like most artists, the tide has spurts of creativity.

Of course I'm pleased that you enjoyed the art, but remember I'm just the chronicler, not the creator.

Nancy, the plan is perfect! See you tomorrow. I look forward to a reunion with Scott, too.

I can't believe I used the WRONG PRONOUN on a printed page! Please forgive me: It should have read, "for Scott and ME."
